Arms Are the New Sexy!
Body Luv’s Hot, New Arm Apparel Launches at Branded Arts Exhibit

SLIXXS by BODY LUV

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 11, 2011

On Saturday, November 5, 2011, BODY LUV Inc. debuted its new apparel line SLIXXS – a hot, body conscientious line of fashion apparel accessories at the Branded Arts exhibition at Smashbox Studios in West Hollywood CA. Models were wearing BODY LUV’S SLIXXS innovative designs over trendy sequined tops and boy shorts, and body con dresses. BODY LUV fills the void in the marketplace for fashion arm accessories – as a hybrid of a shrug and arm warmer, featuring one-of-a-kind designs that go from casual – to sporty – to sexy evening looks, depending on the unique fabrications and prints.

Sexy and stylish! SLIXXS designs coordinate with the latest fashions and complete any outfit from day to eveningwear. Since all the BODY LUV lines are styled for women, teens, and young girls of every size and age – they are the perfect wardrobe “essential.” The products’ quality fabrics and excellent fit have a special sizing technique. Additional fabric is incorporated to accommodate a tall person or a short person – both may wear the very same garment.

Fun and functional! Trends may come and go – but BODY LUV was created to give the illusion of a trimmer, slimmer arm, as the fabric combines a specialty fit and finish, replacing the need for buying bulky jackets, sweaters, and matronly shrugs to cover up sleeveless garments. The heavier knit garment keeps the chill off and the lighter version is constructed of a fabric that has an SPF/UPF property, keeping harmful sun’s rays off the arms, at the same time giving a woman confidence that her arms appear toned.

All BODY LUV products are made of a patented garment fabric for athletic and children’s wear as well. For athletic wear – the SLIXXS line can be used as an arm warmer for athletes and UPF sun protecting clothing for bikers, runners, and tennis players. As the ozone is compromised, it keeps the sun off (SPF treated) and UPF 50+ with each garment containing a UPF (ultra violet protection factor) tag. Its high quality fabrication features special weaves, washes, and natural fibers to give the highest level of UV protection and breathe-ability.

About BODY LUV, INC.

BODY LUV Inc. founded in 2011 by Julie Hansen, created this clothing line out of necessity. Hansen believed that women needed something besides a big wrap to cover their flabby, ”baby boomer” arms. Hansen recognized there was a large market for a garment to reduce the appearance of cellulite on the arms. BODY LUV is the answer to the upper arm problem, as Spanx answered a need for slimming the lower half of a woman’s body. BODY LUV Inc. divisions each address a need in the marketplace – SLIXXS are trend-setting fashion apparel designs and are geared to the work out enthusiasts for total outdoor protection and support; SLIXXS TOO is specifically designed and fabricated for children. The Nation’s Top High School Basketball Players to Attend Inaugural Under Armour Grind Session

Tuesday, December 27th, 2011

The Nation’s Top High School Basketball Players to Attend Inaugural Under Armour Grind Session

Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) September 20, 2011

From September 23-25, in Chicago, IL, more than 50 of country’s best high school basketball players will hone their skills and put their commitment to training on full display at Under Armour (NYSE:UA) and IMG Academies first annual Under Armour Grind Session. The two-day event will combine Under Armour and IMG Acadamies’ proprietary combine training platform and measurement system, Combine360, with basketball-specific skill development drills and organized scrimmages.

Players will receive hands-on coaching, intense training and be able to test their game through a skill development curriculum developed by Under Armour Basketball. The number two pick in the 2011 NBA Draft and Under Armour athlete, Derrick Williams, and former college basketball Player of the Year, Jay Williams, will be onsite to assist in drills and share insights on life as a student athlete.

“The Under Armour Grind Session is built for players that are serious about their game and getting better every time they step on the court,” said Matt Mirchin, Senior Vice President, Sports Marketing, Under Armour. “Players will work hard and learn what it takes to reach their full potential. This fits our mission to make athletes better.”

The event marks the first time high school basketball players will have the opportunity to test and evaluate their game using the proprietary Combine360 measurement system. Combine360 creates a benchmark and customized recommendation for improving athletic performance. Athletes who utilize Combine360 receive a performance profile that illustrates their score from each of the following elements: athleticism, movement and character.

“The Under Armour Grind Session players will be exposed to the same training philosophies that our elite-level high school players and countless first-round draft picks and NBA and international veterans experience year-round,” said Andy Borman, Director, IMG Basketball Academy. “These players will receive pro-level training years before they ever enter the professional ranks.”

Trainers Jay Hernandez and Hanif Hill will oversee the skill development curriculum with support from select high school coaches who will also manage organized scrimmages. Hernandez currently trains a number of NBA players including NCAA 2011 Final Four Most Outstanding Player and Under Armour athlete, Kemba Walker. Hill trains elite professional and amateur players including a number of NBA All-Stars. IMG Academies’ trainers will run players through a combine test developed to evaluate and identify athletic strengths and weaknesses.

Grind Session is the newest initiative reflective of the brand’s long-standing commitment to grassroots basketball and helping young basketball players improve their performance. The brand currently sponsors 13 Division I NCAA teams including Auburn University, Boston College, University of Maryland, Temple University and the University of South Florida. In addition, 25 of the country’s best high school and 15 elite AAU programs are sponsored represent Under Armour Basketball. Top programs include New York City Public School powerhouses Boys and Girls High School and Lincoln, as well as Hargrave Military Academy (VA), Patterson High School (MD), Price High School (CA) and Roman Catholic High School (PA). Annual grassroots properties include the Brandon Jennings Invitational, Best of the Best Camp and sponsorship of the Boost Mobile Elite 24, City of Palms and Great Western Shootout.

Sport Court® Partners With The USTA to Provide The “Safest Court In The World” At The 2011 SmashZone®

Flushing, NY (PRWEB) August 27, 2011

Sport Court® will be featured at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center at SmashZone, the premiere interactive attraction during the US Open, as Sport Court partners with the United States Tennis Association.

This year’s US Open events begin August 29th and run through September 11th, 2011.

SmashZone provides fun for the whole family while showcasing the USTA’s ongoing youth participation initiative: 10 and Under Tennis.

New for 2011 is the Wilson Fast Serve contest where participants have a daily chance to win Wilson tennis racquets each day during the two week tournament.

“The attraction includes 20,000 square feet of our PowerGame™ tennis surfaces and Sport Court is excited to promote kid’s tennis along with the USTA , especially when played on “The Safest Court in the World”, said Ron Cerny, President and CEO of Connor Sport Court International.

Sport Court and the USTA have partnered to promote their 10 and Under Tennis Initiative, providing courts for youth tennis at more than 20 locations around the U.S.

Wilson Racquet Sports has also partnered with Sport Court to promote 10 and Under Tennis. The winning categories will include racquets for Adults, 9-10 year olds and 8 and under players. The contest includes awarding three racquets each day of the event for a total of 42 racquets.

“Attendees can try out our courts and register to win a Wilson Tennis Racquet by visiting the kiosk on site, going to Sport Court’s Facebook page and following the links. said Cerny. “They may also register by entering the sweepstakes at http://www.sportcourt.com by Sept. 11, 2011.

During the event, Sport Court will have information on-site to address the safety aspects of their tennis court surfaces: “Sport Court surfaces protect kids’ developing bones; cushions teaching pro’s joints, and helps all players play longer. At the US Open, Sport Court representatives expect to meet with hundreds of teaching professionals, tennis directors and facility owners, and the general public,” Cerny said. Tennis clubs will be offered a free trial of a Sport Court tennis surface for up to 90 days, he added.

“With our strong ongoing support and distribution of US OPEN junior 19”, 21”, 23”, 25” racquets combined with our other transitional equipment offerings (e.g. nets, court lines, etc), we are excited that we are not just supporting our shared focus on 10 and Under programs but also building a connection with the US Open brand and as a result a closer connection to the USTA,” said Wilson Racquet Promotions Manager Erika Offerdahl.

San Diego, CA. (PRWEB) March 13, 2006

Do It Tennis, an online retailer of tennis equipment for players of all levels including racquets, shoes, bags, apparel, grips and string, announces the launch of their improved website at http://www.doittennis.com. Built on the premise that shopping online for tennis equipment and supplies should be quick and easy, the Do It Tennis website is uncluttered, attractive and simple to navigate for all levels of web surfers and tennis players. Shoppers can make informed buying decisions with little fuss and with only a few clicks of the mouse choose from more than 1,000 products from leading brands like Prince, Head, Wilson, Babolat, Volkl, Dunlop, Fischer, Yonex, Adidas, K-Swiss, Penn, Balle de Match and more.

Starting with the racquet Profiler Do It Tennis has created an exclusive program to help customers find tennis racquets that match their level and style of play. With more than 300 tennis rackets on the market today, constant improvements in tennis racquet technology, frequent release of new product lines, multiple head sizes, an unending universe of price points, its no wonder selecting a new racquet is difficult for beginning and advanced players alike. Do It Tennis is the first tennis website to tackle this challenge head on.

The Do It Tennis Profiler takes the guesswork out of choosing a tennis racket by narrowing your search to just the racquet you need to play your best. The Profiler does this by collecting player information including level of play, price point, swing type, power level and control level. With this, the Profiler compiles a short list of racquets that match the player’s needs.

Once the player has narrowed their search, Do It Tennis offers a tennis racquet demo program allowing players to try before they buy. Players can try up to 3 racquets at a time for up to 5 days for only the cost of shipping (usually $ 12 – $ 15 round trip).

An additional feature, “Quick Search,” offers an easy way to filter out unwanted tennis supplies and products and zero in on a small subset of potential candidates. The system lets shoppers choose the main category, product type and price point they desire, making the selection process fast and precise.

Do It Tennis’s mission is to promote a healthy and active lifestyle through the sport of tennis. Therefore, they reward their customers for their loyalty with the Match Point Club and Match Point Club Platinum. These programs match shopper’s purchases with points that can be applied to future orders. The Platinum level applies an immediate 5% discount to most items in the store.

Savvy consumers appreciate the Best Price Guarantee policy. If a shopper finds any tennis equipment for a lower price on another authorized dealer’s website up to 30 days after purchase, Do It Tennis will refund 110% of the difference between the lower price and the Do It Tennis price.

Another way they encourage an active tennis lifestyle is by helping tennis clubs and teams nation-wide. Tennis coaches, pro players and team captains are attracted to Do It Tennis for their generous affiliate program and volume discounts. They receive discounts of up to 20% or more on most items including team orders for tennis supplies, including embroidery and screen-printing. The selection of tennis equipment features team apparel from Adidas, Prince and Balle de Match, plus bags, shoes, Prince tennis rackets and other tennis equipment from Head, Wilson and more.

Don’t like placing an order over the Internet? The staff at Do It Tennis can take your call 6 days a week.

Through its retail operation, Do It Tennis has been serving tennis players in the San Diego, California community for over 25 years. All racquet stringers at Do It Tennis are USRSA certified. For more information call (866) 900-DOIT (3648) or visit http://www.doittennis.com.

Finding Comfortable Tennis Apparel For Women

Tuesday, May 31st, 2011

If you explore the types of tennis apparel for women down throughout the years starting from the early years of the last century, you will observe a shortening of skirts. There’s one main explanation for this and it has nothing to do with looking good for the males watching. Ladies realize the actual cause of the change is about comfort.

There’s no problem in uncovering a variety of stylish tennis apparel for women these days. The designs tend to be chosen from the range worn by famous tennis players in the global tennis circuit. So it’s obvious that how the apparel looks is still very important, although not quite as significant as the fit, comfort and quality. We realize this simply because you’ll find media members writing not only about their game, but about their fashion also. They write this because the general public likes to read about it.

Formal apparel was standard on the grass courts in England in the early years of the past century. That is what women wore. The tennis apparel for women consisted of something full length. But the sport was not nearly as professional as it is these days. Tennis is almost everywhere and those in the industry spend billions on advertising. In those times, white loose fitting cotton materials supplied comfort, but now, the multi colored synthetic materials are loved by women players globally.

While some sports produce unisex clothing that can be worn by women and men, that’s not how it works in tennis. There’s a significant earnings resource out there and businesses are competing with marketing to get a bigger part of those dollars. Those are dollars that are available simply because men and women use different clothing. For females, the job of the clothing is to make them feel and perform good no matter what the weather, and simultaneously make them look nice as well. The clothing will fit comfortably without influencing your performance.

The times have certainly changed. While previously only white was permitted, now pretty much every court allows multi colored garments. Common apparel nowadays is shorts for men and skirts for ladies. Although where permitted, women can be observed wearing shorts as well.

When selecting your tennis outfits, the skirts should be chosen according to their length and fit. Wear your skirt too tight and you will be uncomfortable. Wear it too loose, and your general performance can also be affected.

If you want to be competitive, you need to feel relaxed while you jump, twist, cut and swing. You should also keep the moisture away therefore light materials are a must. The same as in any other sports activity, you do not need your clothes to impact how well you play tennis. But looking good is fairly important too!

What Is The Proper Tennis Apparel?

Monday, May 30th, 2011

Tennis is a hardcore sport that requires many skills to be able to excel and be called a good player. An average tennis player needs to have good hand and eye coordination, good stamina, good vision, anticipation skills, quick thinking, durable equipment and of course the right tennis apparel. Everything plays a critical role in the anatomy of a tennis player, from the physical skills to the material aspect a good tennis player must display a good balance in the areas concerned so he can bring his A game every single day.

Talking about skills, the physical abilities required in tennis needs consistent practice and coaching. A good regime of pliability exercise coaching, hand and eye coordination coaching, staying power building and speed coaching is wanted to be in a position to cope up with the physical needs of the game.

When it comes to the gear that you wear there also are concerns and factors that you will need to understand about so you can get yourself the right stuff. When it comes to the gear, like the racket and the strings, there are 2 straightforward tips that you can look into when purchasing, first is the weight of the racket 2nd is the style of play that you have. For folk who throw plenty of throws and likes to play way at the rear of the court they need weighty rackets letting them tweak their shots in the tiniest way possible.

Now if you’re the assertive net player you want an a little lighter racket that would let you go from forehand to backhand in a blink of an eye. But there are still private choices when it comes to selecting gear so if you believe a heavier racket suits you better than lightweights then its still you who’s the chief.

Getting the fundamentals naturally, the tennis apparel is another story. There are had been a few style revolutions and trends the tennis world had seen during the past years that it had been in existence. Folk have been and gone with the brand of tennis apparel that sets them aside from all of the other players of the game. Some do it because they feel the necessity to be different and some feel the necessity to be recalled, and others just do it because they feel a bit like doing it. No matter the cause for their style or statement one thing remains for sure there are a things that you simply can’t go without. These are some tips on the proper tennis apparel:

Mind the tennis shoes. This is like the heart and soul of your tennis apparel. Tennis shoes need to be sturdy enough to use on any kind of court surface, it must be lightweight and designed to have support for your ankles. Get good quality of men’s shorts. If you are a man then shorts are the way to go. White short have always set the standards for proper tennis apparel, just remember that it should not restrict your movements on the court.

Be fussy when it comes to women’s skirts. The counter part of the shorts for men, women’s skirts should also let you play the game without any limitation of movement. Consider comfort when getting collared shirts. For ladies and men alike, collared shirts is the handiest way to go. Get the best options for hats. Pros say that hats are one of the most crucial parts of tennis apparel because these can serve as the final cover against daylight. Though these could be optional especially when the games are being held within, it’d basically pay if one gets a good pair.
